Wayfarer200 is a new generation driver console developed by Flowbird as part of its Smart Transport programme to support the emergence of Smart Cities.
The platform integrates ticketing and validation in one holistic design, supporting multiple smartcard formats which include: Mifare, EMV bank cards & CIPURSE; and QR Code barcodes.
It has a built-in GPS for Automatic Stage Change, 4G connectivity for Real Time Information and Fleet Management, 2-way Driver Messaging for Control Room Systems, and integrates to 3rd party Scheduling Systems, vehicle telematics, voice radio systems, CCTV, and passenger Wi-Fi. It utilises many of the existing Wayfarer data sets and configuration files, and is compatible with other Wayfarer ticket machines.
The console, ideal for buses, trams, trains and metros, and integrated multi-modal transport networks, communicates with Flowbird’s TMS 2 Back Office Solution, offering web-based reporting and system configuration. It can also function as a Point of Sale terminal.
In addition, Wayfarer200 provides key management data and reports, including passenger buying patterns, that help to enhance efficiency, optimise services, reduce fraud, improve revenue management and monitor Performance by Driver / Operator / Route.
Wayfarer200 can interface with remote Smart Card Validators, such as the Flowbird Axio Touch to provide a fully integrated system aligned to today’s modern ticketing requirements.
Connects to the Wayfarer Back Office Software Suite (for Configuration, Monitoring & Online Reporting)
Based on Microsoft Windows or Android Operating System makes development of additional features, advanced services and applications fast and easy
